The Schoolhouse is located in the friendly village of Fenwick, has south facing views onto open countryside and is only seven miles from Holy Island and the stunning Northumberland Coast.
It has recently been adapted to offer Accessible Stays. The ground floor is surprisingly spacious, has level access throughout and offers a ground floor bedroom, wet room, open plan kitchen/diner area, living room with log burning stove, and a ‘snug’ – additional seating area with garden views and easy access to washing machine and tumble dryer.
The accessible bedroom has a Bakare electric profiling bed and ‘H’ track ceiling hoist coverage linked through to the large contemporary wet room with an adjustable height changing/shower bench, a Rifton HTS shower chair or a wide shower stool. The wet room has fixed grab rails to the wheel-under wash basin and the toilet has an additional drop-down rail.
The Schoolhouse has three further bedrooms upstairs, including a double with en-suite shower room, a single room with a Queen sized bed and south facing views and a twin room. The upstairs has a family bathroom containing a large bath and separate shower.
There is a private rear garden with a lower and upper patio spaces and outdoor seating located to catch the evening sun. A ramped access route is provided to the upper patio. The existing Summerhouse provides additional garden furniture and is available for guest use but has a threshold that is not accessible to all wheelchairs.
There is off street parking for a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle and an additional car.
