Description

The Crags Accessible Pod is one of four newly-built glamping pods with unrivalled views of Ben Ledi and the Callander Crags.

Specifically designed to meet the needs of guests with disabilities, The Crags Accessible Pod has its own parking space, ramped access, wide doorways and a level interior.

The main living area has floor-to-ceiling glass doors enabling guests to enjoy the spectacular scenery.  There is a fully-equipped kitchen, underfloor heating and a seating area with a pull out double sofa bed.  An additional ‘zed-bed’ can also be provided to accommodate a maximum occupancy of 4.

In the main bedroom there is a single profiling bed with a ceiling (y-shape) hoist that runs through to an accessible wet-room with a step-free shower, changing bench, adjustable-height/wheel-under washbasin, fixed and drop-down grab-rails, and Clos-o-Mat WC.

The Crag’s Accessible Pod also has its own covered veranda with a table and extra seating and a communal accessible garden area is also available to guests.

The Crags Accessible Pod is located on the same site as the Callander Hostel and guests at the pods will have access to its wheelchair accessible lounge and communal kitchen, perfect for larger groups of friends or family holidaying together and wishing to have a shared social space.

In addition, guests can choose from some optional extras to help create the perfect getaway such as food baskets delivered to your pod (this includes various breakfast options and celebration packages).

The glamping pods are situated in the pretty town of Callander with two small supermarkets and a selection of cafes, restaurants and shops.

They are also close to the River Teith, at the start of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It is just 15 miles to the historic city of Stirling where guests can visit the iconic castle and Wallace Monument, and less than an hour’s drive to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow.

Reviews
“I love that there is accessible holiday accommodation, specifically a glamping pod in Scotland with a ceiling hoist, profile bed and changing places wetroom with a clos-o-mat toilet. These facilities at The Crags accessible pod are incredible and ensured our needs were fully catered for. We would love to return for another visit and highly recommend you check it out. The facilities, fully equipped bathroom and location get two thumbs up from us”.
“The glamping pod was very clean when we arrived. To get up to the accessible glamping pod there is a built-in ramp to go up on to the outdoor seating area. Here there is a table with four chairs where you can over look the beautiful scenery. The accessible bedroom has a ceiling tracking hoist and an electric profiling bed which is fantastic. We met a few staff members and everyone was very friendly and helpful”.
