Crescent Hideaway

Description

Crescent Hideaway is a purpose built, 2 bed bungalow in Weston super Mare sleeping up to 5 people.

It has a bright and modern level access/interior with a spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen area.  The living area has comfortable sofas, a riser-recliner chair, TV, dining table with free-standing seating and an additional chair bed.  There is also a video and sound monitor.

The property has two bedrooms.  The first is a spacious accessible bedroom with a ceiling track hoist and single profiling bed (with side rails and either a pressure care mattress or memory foam mattress with the option of an airlow overlay if needed) and a chair bed.

The second bedroom has king-size bed (elephant feet available). The property also has a mobile hoist and a stand aid hoist that can be used in this bedroom if the profiling bed is not needed.

The accessible wet room/family bathroom has a pull down shower table and a choice of three different shower commode chairs, a Tilt n Space, a self propelling and a Rifton HTS suitable for a child or small adult up to 68kg.

The icing on the cake of this property is the pretty garden with a hot tub and hoist!

Pets are welcome.

Crescent Hideaway is situated in Weston-super-Mare, a charming coastal town on the stunning Somerset coast.  The property offers an ideal base to explore this vibrant and picturesque destination, known for its long sandy beaches, traditional seaside attractions, independent shops, cafes and restaurants and scenic beauty.

The Bus Route 5 passes the door of Crescent Hideaway, and all buses have wheelchair access.

Tina (the owner) is a self employed carer with experience in complex care. She is able to assist with care during your stay if required

A personal message from the owner, Tina Middle:

‘Some people have also asked about the sitting service so thought I would give you a bit more information about myself. I have worked in care for 14 years, 4 of which have been in complex care.  I have supported people with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis and brain damage.  I have supported 2 people who are tetraplegic. The bungalow is at the bottom of our garden, so I am really close to be able to offer a sitting service.’

Reviews
“Had the most fantastic stay over the bank holiday weekend. It was our first time away from home since my husband became a wheelchair user and it was perfect. Every detail had been thought of and it has given us the confidence to go away more often. We are already looking to book again”.
“Absolutely amazing accommodation with fantastic hosts. They have done a brilliant job of catering for everybody’s needs and created a lovely, modern, homely bungalow, As hosts, nothing is too much trouble and they are so welcoming and friendly”.
” Wow. What can I say, I have been searching for somewhere that can cater for my wife’s needs for 14 years. From the hospital bed, air mattress to the many shower chairs and hoists, even into the hot tub. This break was a massive thing in our family. I really cannot recommend enough and have already rebooked”.
