The Crags Accessible Pod

The Crags Accessible Pod is one of four newly-built glamping pods with unrivalled views of Ben Ledi and the Callander Crags.

Specifically designed to meet the needs of guests with disabilities, The Crags Accessible Pod has its own parking space, ramped access, wide doorways and a level interior.

The main living area has floor-to-ceiling glass doors enabling guests to enjoy the spectacular scenery.  There is a fully-equipped kitchen, underfloor heating and a seating area with a pull out double sofa bed.  An additional ‘zed-bed’ can also be provided to accommodate a maximum occupancy of 4.

In the main bedroom there is a single profiling bed with a ceiling (y-shape) hoist that runs through to an accessible wet-room with a step-free shower, changing bench, adjustable-height/wheel-under washbasin, fixed and drop-down grab-rails, and Clos-o-Mat WC.

The Crag’s Accessible Pod also has its own covered veranda with a table and extra seating and a communal accessible garden area is also available to guests.

The Crags Accessible Pod is located on the same site as the Callander Hostel and guests at the pods will have access to its wheelchair accessible lounge and communal kitchen, perfect for larger groups of friends or family holidaying together and wishing to have a shared social space.

In addition, guests can choose from some optional extras to help create the perfect getaway such as food baskets delivered to your pod (this includes various breakfast options and celebration packages).

The glamping pods are situated in the pretty town of Callander with two small supermarkets and a selection of cafes, restaurants and shops.

They are also close to the River Teith, at the start of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It is just 15 miles to the historic city of Stirling where guests can visit the iconic castle and Wallace Monument, and less than an hour’s drive to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow.
