Description

The Byre is a pretty three-bedroom steading conversion sleeping up to six guests set on a working sheep and cattle farm in rural Aberdeenshire. The property it is all on one level and has been designed to be fully wheelchair accessible.

The property’s three bedrooms all have en-suite shower rooms. Bedroom one has a super kingsize zip and link bed that will split to make two 3ft singles, it has been designed to allow enough room for wheelchair users as has its en-suite wet room which is fitted out with grab handles and frames and a fold up shower seat. Bedroom two has a kingsize zip and link bed that will split to make two singles again with en-suite shower room. Bedroom three has a double bed again with an en-suite with extra-large shower.

The open plan living space has a large dining table to seat six, as well as comfortable sofas to relax in and enjoy the views of the surrounding hills. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with all the equipment you may need, and the property is double glazed with underfloor heating. There is also a wood burner and Smart TV.

Outside the patio doors is a paved patio area with adjoining lawn where you can relax and enjoy the fields of animals and wildlife on the farm or just enjoy the quiet and take in the view. Adjoining the cottage is a large drying room with a dryer to compliment the washing machine and plenty of space to dry outdoor clothing or for the storage of fishing gear, (access to a large freezer is available for your catch), bicycles, or similar equipment, immediately outside is an electric car charging point.

Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

The Byre at Boghead Holiday Cottages is situated on the edge of the Coreen Hills overlooking the 18th Century village of Lumsden. It is 30 mins from the Cairngorm National Park and is situated on the Whisky & Castle Trails. Nearby are the lovely coastal towns of Portsoy & Cullen.

The town of Huntly is 13 miles and Alford is 8 miles with its local shops and attractions including The Grampian Transport Museum & The Alford Heritage centre.
