Description

The Cow House is a stunning accessible barn conversation in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This four bedroom, three bathroom barn conversion has a fully level interior/exterior (including the parking area and access) and been awarded M3a under The National Accessibility Scheme which means it is suitable for less mobile guests, part-time or assisted wheelchair users.  The property is full of interesting features and thoughtful little extras to enhance your stay including bio-mass underfloor heating and a cosy wood burner.

Come through the porch with plenty of space for your outdoor attire, leading into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a lovely sociable space to create and enjoy a meal together. Open the feature doors and let the outside in. After dinner relax in the sofas, watch the Smart TV or light the wood burner for cosy nights in. Exploring this delightful property further, you will find four bedrooms to choose from: a M3a twin zip-and-link room (which can be prepared as super-king-size upon request) with Smart TV and sliding door to the M3a wet room, a king-size with Jack-and-Jill shower room, down a few steps to the twin room with ensuite shower room. Upstairs is the super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be prepared as a twin on request).

Heading outside there is an enclosed garden with feature railings and gate to a paddock to exercise the dog. Relax on paved areas with feature planting for morning coffee, enjoy alfresco dining at the table and chairs or just sit back and enjoy the water feature and sounds of the local wildlife.

Cow House is located only half a mile from the peaceful village of Cardington and the local pub. An idyllic location with so much to offer all within 15 miles: ride a steam train on the Severn Valley Railway, visit the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, including Blists Hill Victorian Town or The National Trust’s Attingham Park and Benthall Hall. Explore the Shropshire Hills including the Long Mynd, renowned for gliding, the dramatic scenery of the Stiperstones, walk or cycle the Shropshire Way or enjoy a game at the second-highest golf course in England. Visit the market towns of Much Wenlock, Ludlow and Shrewsbury for independent eateries, shops and events celebrating good food, arts, crafts, horticulture and theatre.

Reviews
"Occasionally one comes across somewhere that is so special that it is simply unbelievable. Well people, what Alison and Jim have done at the Cow House is that exception to the rule. Their holiday let is brilliant in too many ways to list in the space allowed for this review. The photographs do accurately represent the spaces but do not convey the luxury of the fixtures and fittings. What makes this place unique is the heart felt desire to make the perfect holiday home for the disabled. Thank you"
"Visited in October with two very elderly parents, both with restricted mobility. They both appreciated the features that made moving around the house & using the shower so safe and easy. All four of us found the property to be very peaceful and quiet. Inside, it is very comfortable and the wood stove blasts out extra heat when needed. There are different seating areas outside, so you can chase the sun. We expected much more farm noise, but there was very little disturbance. I expect that other potential visitors would be reassured to know how peaceful it was at the property."
"Alison and Jim are welcoming and keen you have the best stay at Cow House. They have put much consideration into making the place both able and disabled body friendly. Alison approached us in advance of our stay to establish our specific needs. We appreciated that all facilities were on one level and having 3 bathrooms was a bonus. If you want to escape to the country then this place is ideal. You are on a working farm with minimal noise. Sheep graze in the fields and the pub is 1/2 a mile away."
